PLEASE TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

Good morning everyone. My name is Francesco Napolitano, and I am the owner of the Francesco Napolitano ‘YOUR SMILE’ dental lab based in Nola (Italy). When I opened the dental laboratory in 2012, I had already set up benches to put scanners on. My idea was to take advantage of the massive contribution these machines can make to a modern laboratory. In 2014 I purchased my first scanner. Since then, my laboratory has enjoyed expanded at a dizzying and amazing rate in terms of work and opportunities.

In 2016 I decided to buy a milling machine, a DWX 5 axis DGSHAPE. That opened a whole new world for me. Having access to a wide variety of materials and having them available in my laboratory right away has helped my company continue to grow. Being able to provide doctors with a huge range of applications in different materials, and having a milling machine in-house has also meant we can perform tests, create specimens, and monitor the entire production chain by setting the parameters required to offer dental practices the best possible products. In 2020, we felt the need to go even further, and we purchased a DWX- 42W. This choice was dictated by the fact that more and more dental practices are sending digital impressions, and anyone who works with digital technology knows only too well that it reduces errors to a minimum. My dental laboratory is now fully equipped, complete and modern, so I can take care of everything in the best possible way, both for dry and wet dental work. We also have two types of modelling software, EXOCAD and 3shape, to handle the different processes in the best possible way. An entrepreneur always looks around and tries to see into the future while also keeping a close eye, especially in the dental world, on constantly evolving technology.

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THE BENEFITS CAD/CAM HAS BROUGHT YOU?

Since I installed CAD-CAM in my laboratory, it has speeded up a number of steps, both for small and more complex jobs, as I can match files to files and therefore have numerous checks on the same job. I have been a loyal customer for over 7 years.

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE ADVANTAGES OF DGSHAPE PRODUCTS ARE?

I haven’t had the opportunity of trying out milling machines other than the DGSHAPE ones. That’s because I have never really felt the need to try other brands, as I have always had fantastic support and the highest quality right from the start.

Based on my experiences with these machines and this brand, I think I would make the same choices 100 times over.
