Please Introduce yourself
We have our own Dental Clinic, established in 2001 in Japan. We also have our own Dental Laboratory in the clinic, so Doctor and dental technician have worked together since 2006. It enables close communication, which is essential for producing customized patient applications.
COULD YOU TELL US THE ADVANTAGES OF DENTAL CAD/CAM OVER THE ANALOGUE SYSTEM?
The CAD/CAM can cover most types of restorations, and we especially feel we get better results for National Healthcare Insurance composite resin crowns. Of course, we can increase productivity with digital methods.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN USING DGSHAPE’S PRODUCTS?
We have been using DWX-50 since 2010. Firstly, we considered installing a milling machine that can mill Trinia (fiber-reinforced composite resin) because we had aimed at de-metallization and were interested in this material. Finally, we decided to buy DWX-50 because hybrid resin and zirconia milling were very attractive to us.
Do you have next goal with DGSHAPE’S PRODUCT?
We are considering how we can improve the productivity of temporary crowns and bridges at our in-clinic lab by using IOS. After the scanning, we can immediately start the production without making the model, and the high-quality surface by accurate milling makes polishing and adjustment work easy.
As a result, we can reduce our chair time.
